Our clients depend on our expertise to provide fall protection solutions for their company regardless of project size. Below are descriptions of the services we offer.

Site Assessments

ITAC FPS identifies, prioritizes and compiles site-specific fall hazards into a hazard summary report providing management with an objective way to prioritize and mitigate hazards. When ITAC FPS goes to visit a site—the process includes collecting measurements, taking pictures and discussing with onsite personnel the length of time spent on their daily operations as well as the fall hazards they experience. Once back at the office, the collected information is analyzed and a site-specific hazard report is prepared. The report gives the client a range of solutions to choose from as well as estimated costs to fix their specific fall hazards.

Engineering

ITAC’s engineers analyze existing structures and design new supporting elements as needed to develop a solution based on the “Hierarchy of Controls”. At ITAC FPS, we provide fall protection engineering services of the highest quality - with safety in mind. ITAC FPS engineers are professionals who KNOW fall protection. They are experienced in all facets of structural analysis and design as it relates to the area of fall prevention, restraint, and arrest.

Our engineering team's extensive experience in the analysis and design of industrial/commercial structures and facilities helps in ascertaining whether a structure can sustain additional loadings due to fall arrest.

Installation

ITAC FPS’s installation crew travels across the nation to install, inspect, and certify fall protection systems and related components. All of ITAC FPS’s field employees are fully trained by the manufacturers to a ‘certified installer’ level. Additionally, they are trained in the safe operation of scissor lifts, aerial lifts, cranes, etc.

Inspection Services

ITAC FPS offers continued inspection services on systems that ITAC installed. At the end of the inspection the customers is presented with a Certificate of Inspection. This certificate has a period of validity for one year of continued system usage.

Testing

It is vital that you and your workers have confidence in the equipment that is being used. ANSI Z359, The Fall Protection Code, actually calls for a certain regimen of testing depending on the situation. ITAC FPS offers independent third party testing for engineered equipment. Additionally, on-site testing can be performed as appropriate for installed systems. Test results are recorded electronically and incorporated into a summary report which also suggests system improvements as needed.

Training

ITAC FPS provides OSHA Competent Person, OSHA Qualified Person and Authorized Worker training. ITAC constantly updates the courses to thoroughly educate workers on the latest industry standards and practices. These courses are interactive sessions with overhead/computer presentations, hands on applications, and a written knowledge test to facilitate the course objectives. At the completion of the course the participant is given a Certificate of Completion with applicable expiration date for retraining/recertification.

For upcoming training dates and course outlines be sure to check the “Training” page.
